Original vintage 1944 MGM musical comedy movie poster insert (14”x36”) for “Meet the People”, starring Lucille Ball, Dick Powell, Bert Lahr (better known as Cowardly Lion from 1939’s “Wizard of Oz”), Virginia O’Brien & June Allyson. The film takes its title from a successful Los Angeles musical revue, which ran on Broadway. Virginia O'Brien, who was also in the original stage cast, sings the hit song "Say That We're Sweethearts Again". (This song was more recently sung by Harley Quinn in “Batman: The Animated Series”.
Original vintage 1944 movie poster insert (14”x36”) is in very fine condition. The poster has minor wear to folds and borders. There are a few faint red ink smudges at upper right (see photos). Overall it is in fantastic condition & will display very well! The vividly designed poster features great images of Lucille Ball in close-up and in a Las Vegas showgirl-like costume that is really eye-catching.
